I viewed this example back in June 2011. The car didnt live up to my expectations given from the advert. I see no one else has been tempted for what is still a rare car. It was the sight of what looked like fibreglass filler in the rear arch that sunk it for me frown

I did consider taken it on as a small project, but my offer would have been too far from the asking price to be considered.

Did anyone else here view it ?

I have no comment on the condition, although it looks pretty good in the pics, just wanted to make the point that that is a very rare car!

There must be less than 100 in the UK?

Well, it's "mint" and has "been maintained regardless of cost", so shouldn't be anything wrong with it at all?

+ 1, at that price should be perfect. Would be very suspicious about filler in the windg of any 944.

wheres the filler? I'm sure you don't mean the fibreglass panels on the top of each rear quarter panel? If so thats completely normal - they're all like that.

It was 7 months ago but IIRC it was the lower rear wheel arch. Being a former 944 owner I knew where to look for the usual rust problems.
I made my decision to not proceed as I knew it needed further money make it top notch. That aside, as it was such a rare car I thought someone would buy it. It seems not.

As you say they do rust quite a bit in usual areas hence makes you wonder what else is below the new paint as its apparently had a full respray. Must have been a complete bodge job all round.
