I've never driven it but my parents used to have a place in Zell am See and I've been a passenger as a boy many times. Always faster when it was just my dad and me for some reason...

Epic road. My only advice is to leave it a bit later than opening day as the meltwater can be quite prolific for a while - which makes the road icy in the morning and aquaplane-tastic in the afternoons.

So many good roads round there, head East to Obertauren and on to Murau...

Went up there with the Turbo in 2002, was thick fog. It is also a toll road.

Three times, three different climatic challenges: Rain. Fog and rain. Fog and then light snow at the peak. All three times fantastic. Worth doing if in the area. It's a toll road/area so allow time for doing it in both directions....

It's an epic drive, even better on a push bike!

I could quite easily spend the rest of my life around Zell Am See.

Vertigo.

Other than that a great road, apart from the lycra clad cyclists who weave about from one side to the other at 20mph while following a support van.

June was perfect with no snow and only a few bits of melt water.

Manufacturers testing cars too.
