OK this car has haunted me since it was launched and now may be the time and this may be the car

www.autoselect.se/cars_view.asp?ID=366

545,000-SEK equate`s to around 60,000- Euro , i have had a look around Mobile DE and this is right around other examples with similar KM`s on the clock .

I have not driven it yet as i know how quickly a fool and his money are parted , and i remember Der`s description of his first taste of ubber Porkdom and i fear i would not be able to restrain myself

So come on advice please .

Non-concurrence would seem remiss, ergo ditto!

Swedes are tough negotiators but expect to pay -5% if no part exchange. £600 to put it in a crate and ship to the UK. £400 to register in the UK. Shame you did not see this 3 years ago when the Krona was up the swanny – it would have been cheaper than it is now !

Generally speaking the Swedes drive their cars hard and obviously have harsh weather (they salt their roads not grit them) so buy with caution !

Running costs – a bearable £1.5K assuming average condition and use. With a 30% chance of one off additional £1-1.5 K work items every year.

Car sounds ideal then so hope you go for it. The Swedes I knew were all IT Contractors at Telia and they canned it everywhere, one rolled his Impreza on a lane and the other crashed into a bollard at Arlanda Airport. May be it is just the people I know !

Now i'm not a genius when it comes to Maths, but will you not be paying a total of around £42,000 for a LHD turbo? That sounds a lot like RHD money??

One of the cars I looked at early on was 97/P, RHD, silver with sports seats and 40K miles for £44K before nogotiations!
