Not sure this is the right place to ask etc ... but I am looking to buy a 991 C2s and as to me it is a lot of money to spend on a car I would like to know I am getting the best deal, so apart from free mats any ideas of what level of discount if any at all I should hope for. thx

Highly unlikely I would have thought.

Push them on your trade in and/or the finance, its effectively the same thing.

I'm sure there will be deals to be had in the next few months. The economy isn't that good and there are alot less bonuses proping up the market.

After much negotiation, I managed to get a second cup of Cappuccino (with the chocolate sprinkled on top) and another of those very nice biscuits.... I was well pleased smile

OP. I suspect you'll get sweet FA. The car has barely landed in showrooms. Wait a while if you're looking for a deal, but if you want to be one of the first to own a 991, you'll have to pay for the 'privilege'.

Or is this a 'first post on PH' time waste? scratchchin

Or a cynical OPC checking the "lie of the land"

hang on...surely if youre in the position in life where you can outlay the thick part of 100K on a new metal you must have picked up at least enough of the art of negotiation not to have to ask..

..but yes Im sure if you spec up the PDK and the PDDC you'll get free mats!

Or Autoglym lifeshine polish. smile

Seriously , the things to ask for are those that have value to you, but cost them the least. 4 driving experiences at the silverstone centre? or a set of winter wheels/tyres.

Those saying discounts.....have either of you tried for a discount, or is this just a number you're pulling out your ass?

OPC's front end is only 8%. OPC's back end I forget. They'll do deals to shift stuff that needs to go, but they can't sell things at a loss. They're a business.

I can't see any cash off a 991 for ages yet.

Mats = result IMO.

I asked for a discount on my 991 as a 'I might as well ask' to be met with a polite decline and an explanation of having lost money for the last year moving old model 997s, Boxsters and Caymans for no money they now have to make it back. When I'm not buying cars I run my own business and know what it's like to be screwed to the floorboards when times are bad so good luck to them making hay while the sun shines and all that...

I was in my local OPC earlier this week and asked about new 991 pricing. Despite several attempts, they wouldn't even consider a discount and were talking about delivery dates well in to next year as they have a good number of orders.

Best they said they could do was to offer some money off one of their demonstrators when they swap them in February .... massive spec (i.e. well over £100k) and used by all and sundry ...... for a discount off the list price!!

I walked and will stick with my old banger.

Surprised they were talking delivery dates into next year. Most OPCs I've spoken with can get something built for March/April. Don't think a discount will be forthcoming though.
