Had the car two years now. Had a RMS last year and apart from that just it's general servicing.

It has FSH and 62k.

I get my bonus in April when the next service is due and Hartech is probably 2 hours away, would a Hartech Gold service be worth the extra?

I think it depends if you want to take advantage of their Lifetime Maintenance Plan. If you don't and there's a good specialist nearer to you then maybe look at them instead (purely from a convenience point of view). However, if you do then it might be worth a visit for an appraisal beforehand, or if you do book in for the Gold service then don't expect to be taking it home the same day (it might be worth getting someone to deliver it to them, or ask them about doing this for you). Why not call them and discuss it, they don't bite. smile

I had their major Gold service done last year on my CS968. The reason behind it was to get the car absolutly tiptop, and they go over the car in a more traditional way.

Mine came back spanking, and lucky for me needed only a new clutch master cylinder and front brake pad sensors. The report with it was very detailed.

Because of that service mine was eligible for their maintenance plan.

I decided against it, not because I thought it expensive, purely down to a 4 hour and 5 train changes to get home if it needed anything done and had to stay with them.

Top service though.

I'd suggest looking at one-way rental cars rather than hellish multi-change train journeys. In fact, I think I read somewhere that Hartech have just done a deal with a national rental company at £15/day which would be cheaper too.
