This GT3 looks quite yum. Why so cheap?
Discussion
Manthey and lots of bits. LHD aside, isn't it a little cheap?
Anyone know the car?
If only it were RHD!
Sorry! For forgetting the link!

Pretty much bang on the money, but that's only if you value the mods and aren't worried about originality.
The Manthey K400 conversion very effectively leapfrogs the Mk1 GT3 up to (and over IMO) Mk2 GT3RS useable horsepower. Fitted it costs circa £6+K in the UK. There's no real premium being charged on this car for that (and it is a fantastic conversion)
Let's not forget the original LHD Manthey car which 911V sold recently had more miles (56K ish?) and was at least £4K more. Depending on what suspension this car has (possibly Manthey KWs ?) the 911V car offered a Cup rear wing and the "benefit" of having been delivered straight to Manthey from the factory over this particular car. Nice bonnet badge, not really woth paying a premium for though.
The big brake set up is a definite bonus and quickshift (especially if it's the Manthey item) improves upon the standard gearchange.
Mk 2 wheels are low maintenance compared with the original Sport Designs, they're also easier to clean and fill the arches out more convincingly. Original they're not, but finding an original set shouldn't be too awkward.
Personally I'd lose the modded rear bumper and the Max Power pedal covers, beyond that, if it's a straight undamaged example, what's not to like ?

privacy glass, rear bumper, ali/plastic pedal nonsense, black alloys - all this is pretty easy to rectify. more interested in whether the dampers have been refurbed or if it's on kw's. to me it strikes me as a proper little screamer for euro hoons and trackdays. rub it against the barrier, not the end of the world, unlike a 100k 3.8 RS or a 200k 4.0 RS.......

Yeah thats a good point...! Nonetheless, 13 years in, I imagine the frequency of 'big thing goes wrong' increases. That said, they are very well built.
Not necessarily, keep chucking fresh oil in a GT3 (frequently) and you're ensuring there should be no dramas with the engine. The 'box if not abused and the oil is changed at sensible intervals should last perfectly well (my car had 65K miles on it and the 'box was like new)
Ok, the diff may need a build (use the right upgraded parts and they'll last loads of road miles and slightly less track miles)
All the other stuff can be purchased on the cheap (if you're that way inclined) dampers refurbed by Bilstein, springs £400 a set, brake discs, pads, condensors, radiators etc can all be bought non gen but EO manufacturers. This leaves you with suspension bushes, top mounts and wishbones etc that may need replacing.
Buy the right car (one with proof of a recent clutch change is a real bonus) and carry out any refurbishment before it leads to other major issues, service it diligently, and you'll have plenty of (fun packed) miles without incurring big bills.
This car was for sale about a year ago. At first the price was 31995£, then after two days it was 33995£. According to seller this was because he got so many phone calls about the car. Somehow the seller didn't convince me so I didn't buy the car. In the end it was "sold".. yet it's now for sale again by the same person. The pictures are the same ones as well.
