Stupid stickers aside, an interesting car for the money at £39k.

PORSCHE 911 TIPTRONIC S GT3 RS AERO KIT, 2 Doors, Manual, Coupe, Petrol, 2005 05 Reg, 41000 miles, Metallic Grey. Richardsons are very proud to present this very rare 911 Carrera 2 S, Full GT3 RS Bodykit, Tech Art Alloys, Vortech Supercharger

Is it possibly an alternative to a 997Turbo if you're a few thousand short? Cheapest turbo today is http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/3328159.htm?

No way. I'd save the extra 4-5k and get the 7Turbo if I had to have a 7Turbo but if I was that near I'd wait and get a GT3 personally.

The 997T might be more reliable, easier to sell on in future and faster, but you pays your money ....

If it 'floats your boat' then go for it. The problem with individualised cars though is they can be very difficult to sell.

Lot of car for the money though. A bargain for someone brave enough to go off the beaten path in reliability/depreciation terms. Shame it's not manual and it maybe looks a little chavtastic. Without the decals and with some BBS or GT3 rims it may have more appeal?

It's a bit like the article in one of the mags recently where they considered Porsceshop's breathed-on 997 Carrera S as an alternative to a GT3.

I suspect, ultimately, you're always likely to suffer less depreciation on a factory-standard Turbo or GT2/3 than a 'lesser' model that's been modified to the same levels of performance (cult conversions like RUF excepted).

No, it's horrible. Only worth about half that price.

Definitely not. A 2005 997C2S tip for 40k!!

An aftermarket SC and a big spoiler do not a great Porsche make!

Doesnt work financially either.
