Nice write up in Autocar this week. They say that the chassis tweaks means its finally something rather special to drive. Looks good too.
Anyone else have a peculiar Panamera fetish ? I kind of feel drawn to them because they are a bit odd and no one owns one. Shouldnt have to wait to long for them to be pretty bargain basement either.

Not sure you are correct on residuals - currently they are performing very well, and far better than Mercs and BMWs. Of course they will drop over time, but I suspect 50% of value after 3 years will be the norm (cf 30-35% for other large exec saloons).Anyone else have a peculiar Panamera fetish ? to the OP I get you..my guilty pleasure to, carnt explain why..just do, If I had the £ would love a turbo as a day to day uber barge..mainly just to cut up rangey sport drivers!
..and rare....so far have only ever seen white turbos w black alloys and heavy tints in central London complete with 'my other cars a gold plated veyron' bumper sticker.
3yrs time I'll be there!
I know they are not regarded highly in the UK - I found it to be FUGLY when it first came out. It grows on you though. I was given a Panamera S for a weekend and after that, absolutely fell in love with it. Have had one since December now and love it to bits. My other day to day car is a 535d estate (F11) which is a very accomplished car, but the Pornomera is so much more special. You'll have to sit in it & drive it to really appreciate it.
To fuel the ongoing discussion.... Mine is a Diesel (Flamesuit on).

As a Cayenne owner, I too like what many deem to be FUGLY Porsches!
I drove both the diesel Cayenne and Panamera at a Porsche open day late last year and they are both very good....Esp. with Sport mode engaged - the handling defies the size - even more so than my 05 Cayenne.
To echo those on here, when they drop to where I could access a Cayenne then I too will look at them...

As said previously I like both the Cayenne & Panamera, but for me the Panamera is not work £16K more than the Cayenne.
From your statement I'm guessing you haven't actually driven both anywhere near the limit. The Panamera is a superbly balanced car and in the right hands is an awesome toolthat is incredibly capable; if you are looking for a large family saloon I think you would struggle to beat it.I've not heard many people have good things to say about the Cayenne; they are ok in a straight line on a road but there are quite a few other 4x4s that do the job so much better - they may not be as fast but who really buys a 4x4 for speed.
