boxster fault code

hi everyone, for my first post it's a diagnostic puzzler.

christmas eve last year the engine management light came on as we drove home

when the repair garages opened again i got it on the magic machine expecting the worst and was relieved to find it was code 0337 "activation of drivers door light"

since then the engine management light comes on for a day or two then goes off again, on this occasion its been lit for 5 days.

does anyone know what causes this particulr fault and how or what

is the fix?
