This got snapped up very quickly, which was probably a good thing for me.

I haven't had time to read it yet, but the cover story of this months 911 & Porsche World Magazine is about this very subject - 'Hot Rod 911s for Less ...built with with RS Teknik kit' - looks like it features the red car in your link.

£35k was probably about the bottom end of the build cost :

£10k for the donor car
£12k for rust repairs, the body conversion and paint
£3k for gearbox rebuild, new brakes, engine service etc
£2k for the interior
£1k for the bright window frames, door handles etc.
£4k for wheels and tyres
£3k for other bits and bobs like geometry, strut brace, centre fill tank etc

I suspect you might end up a little more if doing it yourself as it's tricky to resist a few sexy details. smile

This car was in 2.8 RSR spec on here for £17k last year and looking good.
About another £10 12k spent on it,you can work out the rest.

Looks even better now.Paul Stephens certainly knows how to detail these cars.Stunning!!!
Just get one Lee.

The RS-teknik body kit is £3k apparently. Contains two bumpers, bonnet, engine lid, fillets for the bottom of the front wings, indicator units and all rubbers.

Its the arches , rust removal , fitting , painting and wheels that will bump the cost .
