Does anyone here have recent experience of privately selling a low miles 993, say in the past 6 months.?

I'm going to make an effort to market mine and I'd like an idea of how real sellers found the market of late.

Keep up, it's been 2 years!

Fancy another 911 as a change.

I've placed a free ad on 911uk. I think my car is desirable spec wise but it's difficult to gauge what other private sellers are actually achieving in today's market. I'm not so interested in hearing the opinions of haters and I realise dealer cars can make strong money, surely someone here has sold a sub 65k car in recent times? How much of an ache was it?

Lovely car, but I'm sorry, but to me that is well overpriced for a C4 993.

Best of luck with the sale though. thumbup

The anti purists choice. 996 turbo cab.? Or maybe a nice low miles Turbo coupe, manual.

I've always fancied one. Drove a 1M recently and enjoyed that as well. Problem is ( for me) they are too high on their depreciation curve.

For what it's worth, make sure the 996 Turbo is everything you want.

I've had a 993 for 6 years now and I've wanted to scratch that itch for a change from time to time. About a year ago I drove a 996 Turbo, and although I seriously don't want to start some sort of debate on this, I found it totally bland in comparison to the 993. This is just my opinion for what it's worth, and I won't enter into some pointless debate about it. It's each to their own I guess, but the 996 Turbo did nothing for me. I'm sure one of the well known car mags described it as "like playing a car video game".

I'd echo that as well - that's top dealer price. I sold my 1997 C4 a year ago with 85k miles for £22k. I think you'll need to come down £5k to get it away, particularly this time of year.
