.. and I love it.

It's got heavy miles 122K but has been well maintained and I want to continue that, my question is simply: the last service, according to the service history, last was on 12/6/10 @118K (yearly and major are ticked in the boxes). The brake fluid change was on 14/6/11 @119K (along with servo and master cyclinder replacement). Only notable new purchases are a new water pump and replacement pulleys (whilst they were at it). So, what service should I opt for and how much should I be prepared to pay?

Thanks all. Hopefully, I'll be as active in this forum as I was when I had my TVR and Lotus :-)

Hi and well done - I would go either every 12 months or 10,000 miles at that age - I am guessing £250 for a minor (Oil) service and £450 for a major!

Enjoy the ride

Congrats - I'd go with Khushy's guesstimate more or less. Whereabouts are you? When I had my Box I made sure I paid a local, good, indie a visit early on and built up a good rapport with them. Do that and take advice on what they might suggest - have you had it inspected or health checked before or since purchase?

Hi both - I literally bought the car a few days ago, no health check prior nor after. I'm in Cardiff, I understand this chap is pretty good (and actually not far from me at all): http://chrisdenningsportscars.com/

Would you suggest I get the vehicle assessed and serviced at the same time, as soon as possible?

There are very few cars I've owned (if any) that I've adored as much as this in such a short space of time, I really want to take good care of it, at sensible cost.

Thanks in advance.

Congratulations! Nothing to add to previous posts, other than reiterate the advice about finding a good independent. And also just to say how brilliant it is to read someone being so positive - it's easy to take things for granted and forget just how special these cars are and how they make you feel. Happy times ahead mate!

Congrats on getting into Pork ownership - its an experience all on its own.

No problems with Chris Denning in Whitchurch. I personally use D9 Autotech near Porthcawl, both are good though. http://www.d9autotech.co.uk/default.asp?cookiechec...

I'd certainly get it looked over if at all possible given time and budget - and then see what your indie says about servicing regimes - an oil change wouldn't hurt I don't suppose.
