C4S in the snow. The electronics we're allowing just enough fun whilst keeping me pointing in the right direction, although the back only stepped out when I was being silly on a private road. The traction is amazing, even on summer tyres!

Try going up a hill! I got overtaken by a fiesta!
Mind you, I bet they are good on winter tyres.

Yes, it is a Tip. I did try switching over to manual but it didn't improve matters.

For 10 months of the year I wonder if I should've bought a C2S, then I feel all vindicated when it snows!

You are absolutely right. I own a 997 C2S and cannot drive on snow with summer tyres.
4wd is the solution.

I have Vred M+S tyres on my non-PSM C2 996. Have had no problems soo far. They took a bit of getting used to and the walls flex too much for me above 7 deg C but are brill in the cold and wet.

Would definitely recommend them in the wet, cold, ice and mud, but yet to try them in snow - melted too fast round here.

We had snow here in Frankfurt yesterday, and since it's not been above -8 it's now frozen over.

Walking on it is a serious challenge.

Driving on it in my C4S on winter tyres is a piece of cake... not to mention quite alot of fun on some of the wide, empty, sweeping back roads that I know well.

I definitely wasn't being overtaken by any Fiestas smile
