Chalk and cheese. I personally prefer the lighter NA car (with PSE)

Hi there

I'd say the pro's of each are:-

- Turbo not only feels epic fast due to turbos, torque and spooling but they are epic fast.
- Hugely tunable, a remap gains a substancial amount more power and won't break the bank.
- Security of 4WD.
- Sounds of turbos spooling and the tyre putting 500+ BHP into the road sounds pretty mean.

- C2S some consider a purer drive and more fun, certainly a more rawer car.
- Exhaust note is more exotic on none turbo cars for sure.
- Cost less to run, better mpg, cheaper insurance, less maintenance.
- PDK nearly as good as a manual for those who like driving and works superb as an AUTO.

However if your talking 997.1 Turbo with tiptronic or a 997.2 C2S with PDK, then the C2S is the clear winner, I can't stand the tiptronic, slow to change, takes far too much enjoyment out of the drive, wheras PDK I can cope with, but manual is the best. smile

I had a 997 C2S pdk courtesy car for over 2 months while I was getting some work done on my car. Apart from the pdk box with sc I personally did not like the car as when pushed it wiggles way too much for my liking especially in the rain, which can be fun but not on the road. The pcm 3 is better if that's your thing and in sport + was enough to take the lead with a tuned 997 Turbo on a couple roll ons for a couple of seconds;)

The turbos engine is hard to argue with and in the long run could be less likely to go wrong and no need for constant warranty renewal. I like the tiptronic box once mastered is very effective. The sound and engine response is not as good but can be tuned which again is another appeal.
