Just curious....my Spyder will be mostly garaged with it's top stored away. I'd like to throw something over the cabin to stop it getting dusty when not in use. So, before I buy a King Size bed sheet from Sainsburys (not really!), is there such a thing as an indoor cover for the cabin only? I don't really want a full indoor cover.

KSBS is not a bad idea - how about a tog 14 duvet and pillow set too?

KSBS it is then. Quite fancy something in Agate Grey - nice contrast.

two golfing umbarella's?

this always fked me off with my garage queens, made worse by the dog kipping in the same room. i did think about an indoor cover but i think it'd just end up being another excuse not to take it out.

you could of course simply use the spyder's roof? or am i stating the obvious there?

Well the Spyder looks like a car that someone pitched a tent on, so what about a fly sheet from Millets?

The Spyder roof is the obvious answer and I'll probably end up using that - or a KSBS! smile

They look good but I really don't want a full cover. Just something I can quite quickly throw over the cabin.

edit...really just needs a basic soft sheet with lightly weighted edges to hold it in place and stop it falling into the cabin. Maybe I'm giving this too much thought - now where's that sewing machine?!!

I did something similar when I had a Caterham 7. An old bed sheet (cut to as small a size as necessary), one end tucked under a windscreen wiper, and an improvised weight on the other (usually a bottle of car wax). Very quick to put on and remove.

PS - it sits in a specially made temple of paradise pointing EAST for obvious reasons - every morning its gets a sprinkling of fairy dust and rose petals and has been blessed by a shamanic-bard by the foot of the Glastonbury TOR too!

seal the walls - put up a proper ceiling and you wont need one!

Meh - just leave the roof on, you have already paid for it!

I'd have to line the walls to stop the efflorescence (bloody single skin garages)! Much less pricey to get a sheet!

What you need to protect your pride and joy is one of these:

http://www.shower-cap.com/html/lotus.php

It's made for an Elise S1 but I reckon would fit the Spyder after a fashion and you could rig up 'bean bags' to hold down the tails that would normally fit into the Elise butresses.

Either that or ask Elemental to produce one for the Spyder. cool

This! ^
That's all you need do.

My garage is like an operating theatre wink

Anyway - just bung the roof back on. I usually just clip the front of the roof in place and leave the rest hanging - does the job.
Wouldn't bother with a car cover - you'll scratch the car to buggery unless it's scrupulously clean.
