I had 2 new P Zero's put on the back at it's last MOT.

Looking at the two front tyres I think it will need those this year. Rather than let the garage do it where the MOT is it seems it will be cheaper to buy online via Kwik-Fit.

The question is, which P Zero?

225/40 ZR 18 N3

Rosso £137/Nero £148

Cheers

Am I missing something???? What's on the back? Presumably you'll put the same on the front as the back.

FWIW I've had P Zero Rossos on my 2004 986 since I bought it and they've proved to be very good tyres. Not in a hurry to swap to anything else.

Absolutely. You don't want to mix tyres even if they are on different axles if it can be avoided.

Of course I want the same! I can't seem to find which they are on the tyre wall. I wondered if one of them might be Porsche specific.

I have Rosso's on mine. But the big fat red letters spelling Rosso give it away. If you don't have red lettering then maybe you have neros. I would get a tyre place to confirm. Can you get a picture up?

I doubt it matters, but IMO P Zero Rossos are possibly the worst performance road tyre i've had. Useless in the cold / wet, and after 1/2 worn they become a totally different tyre. As soon as I've finished this set off, the Box is getting a set of Contis, which IMO are much, much better all rounders.

So it turns out I have P Zero N rated Asymetric. Apparently they were replaced recently by the Rosso, or so I am told.

They can be sourced so I can match back to front, and am awaiting a price.

Hi there

That is bks!

Pirreli range is as follows:-

Pirelli Trofeo - Track tyre, O.E. fitment on new Exige 2012, potentially will come to Porsche in future.
Pirelli Corsa - O.E. fitment on GT3, a truly awsome tyre designed for both track and road use.
Pirelli PZERO - The best performance road tyre from Pirelli
Pirelli PZERO Rosso - Really a shameful tyre, steer well clear.
Pirelli PZERO Nero - More designed for comfort than performance.

The PZERO is a current tyre and is still winning awards, but please understand the PZERO is the one to have, just like you have on your car now. Not the Rosso or Nero variations, they are poor. The PZERO is still available in N-Spec and is fitted to the new 991 from the factory.

I figured tyre experts here would out knowledge Kwik-Fit, so you are saying this one is my tyre?

Here you go:-

These will fit:-
http://www.camskill.co.uk/m61b0s134p70247/PIRELLI_...

Or if you must go N-rated, which is not required if you have no warranty, but they have Michelin PS2 in stock:-

Though I'd not recommend mixing brands. So if your not under Porsche warranty, then get the Pirelli's in the first link. smile
