Apparently the 997 instument pod sometimes squeaks and rattles where the pod and dash meets. Does anyone have any experience of this and tips on sorting it out? Cheers.

Yea, mine does it.. And its bloddy annoying! Especially so, as ive worked hard to get rid of all rattles, and its the only one i'm having trouble resolving.

Seems to get better once the interior temp goes up, which is clearly due to tiny expansion in plastics stopping the rattle.

i had this problem ... i resolved it by getting a piece of felt and doubling it over until it would not fit between the top of the cluster and the underside of the pod. I then wedged it in and pushed it farther in with the end of a flat screwdriver = no more rattle.

There is an OPC fix for this. Usually the plastic trim that runs around the base of the cluster above the column. Pull out d see if noise gone, and then replace over strip of felt tape.

Yeh, they remove all the plastic trim in the front and leave it in a heap in the boot. Which you find when you open for your shopping.
And no it doesn't stop the rattle smile
