Silverstone had a slot for one 2 weeks ago,when i spoke to them about the Turbo S

Slight change of thread - reading evo on the plane this morning.

DMS chip in the X50.....nice

Note 100% on the exhaust but pretty decided on the chip....

I would speak to a couple of good tuning places first.

G-Force said to me, it's best to upgrade the exhaust system first, cause if you are chipping it, you're increasing power & therefore more gas & heat etc. which the std exhaust would restrict the flow of extraction and there by create more heat in the turbos and backward to the engine bits - which isn't good, as you want to get the gases & heat out ASAP.

I'm looking to upgrade my std 996 TT on the same method, just in the process of choosing the best exhaust system, there's so much choice, before getting the ECU modified.

Apologies for the slight thread hijack, but talking about increased heat and boost pressure on chipped, turbocharged cars take a look at this manifold from a 944 Turbo taken at full boost on the rolling road last week.

Glowing red hot turbos & manifolds is normal on 'tuned' turbo engines - great picture though!

I'll post some stuff up tonight about performance exhausts - still trying to research @ work - I'll start a new thread, then we compare findings.
