If the paperwork checks out and it's a fix you're happy with, why not? Stripping as a trackday special, or just enjoying it knowing that you got a bargain. As long as you buy knowing what your doing of course
Well - that would depend on the damage wouldn't it. If the chassis had been bent and straightened it would not be as strong as it once was. If so, would you want such a car on a track?? Though of course the counter argument is that these are sufficiently expensive to fix that there will be eminently repairable cars out there that have been insurance write offs. The bottom line surely revolves around knowing what the exact nature of the damage was...?
If it falls through i would buy it for £28K, pull the tale pipe out a bit, stick some buckets in and go racing :-), it looks like they have raised the front to get over speed bumps, rear looks about right but front needs dropping an inch or so.
Got lovely PS2s i think - referbed wheels, and it looks like carbon brakes.

Just a question for those out there who have an opinion on such things, but have you actually seen what happens to a car that needs to be straightened?
I kind of think some folks think its a case of replacing a few bits of metal & cutting out a few other bent bits.
Have a look on YouTube, & be surprised. It involves some quite impressive hydrolic rams, & chains, lots & lots of chains.....
