Hi all,

Mrs S has decided she wants a classic sports car to play with in the summer. I have started looking at the usual suspects (MG, Triumph, Austin Healy etc) but stumbled across an article in a classic car mag about the Porsche 914 and I love the look of it.

Now the question, having looked at few for sale ads they are all LHD. Was a RHD version made?

thanks

S

No RHD models were made from factory as far as I know. There have been a few aftermarket conversions I've seen about though.

If she wants something different and RHD there are some professional Bell & Colvill RHD conversions of the otherwise LHD Alfa Spider.

I think I have seen RHD 914 but can't comment on the quality of conversion.

I appreciate that this is an old topic, but---I have a Crayford 914 and have had so for 20 + years, great car, really great fun to drive.
there were apparently only 11 built by crayford--I have copies of the invoices, if your wife still wants one do get outthere and try to seek one out.
cheers
