Hi all,

Been registered for a while on Pistonheads but didn't realise there was an active Porsche section on it smile

I'm a new Porsche owner, having come from previous sporty cars mainly modified Jap stuff, thought I'd try my hand at some german supercar action smile

Bought it in January from RSJ Sportscars, whom were excellent in their sales and customer support.

The Car:

2003 (MY04 model) 996 Turbo
Polar Silver with X50 pack
Black Interior
Sports embossed seats
PCM2
Stainless sill plates

A few pics:

The driving experience is nothing like I have witnessed or experienced before, the power is endless and I'm still scared when I go out in it smile
Already started tinkering with it, I've added LED interior lights, upgraded the exterior indicators with silver vision bulbs, side light and number plate lights are LED's too. They don't half freshen up the look and feel of the interior and exterior.

Also started adding a few interior carbon bits. Hazard and ignition switch surround and the left and right airvents.

Hopefully get the center horseshoe and door mirror triangles in the next couple of weeks.

Can't wait for summer now. smilesmile

Welcome to Pork ownership & get yourself to a local meet.

No going back now, it's like a disease, once you 'get it' there is no cure smile

Yummy! My first 911 was a 996TT, awesome car so capable and can cross continents without breaking a sweat.

I nearly went for that very car myself, it looked very nice in RSJ, but you beat me to it wink

I now have a Turbo S and seen as though you are into modding your X50 have a look at the spacers I have just added to the rear of my car on the other thread... thoroughly recommended.

Podro,

Yes she is a beauty.

Congrats on you Turbo S. smile

Your spacer mod is very interesting. I'm going to hold off for the time being though, although the wheels and arches are screeming out to have spacers.
I might as well keep the money and put it towards a set of new wheels that I want (Hopefulyl at the end of the year).

Then I'll know if I need any spacers with the new wheels, hopefully won't be needed if I get the correct offset wheel.

mez3,

Yes the lights have made a massive change to the car.
Seems to have refreshed it, brought it back into the 21st century.

I bought all the LED lights from fleabay, all can bus error free.

Maybe I am too amateur here, but why do you need to change the main beam - they are surely already xenon? Or are you referring to the high beam?

Yep, my bad.

High beam H11's.

You are correct, Main beam's are Litronic.
