I thought I would post my results from a leather treatment that I had completed on the 3.2.

Very pleased with the results and I would definitely recommend. I used Benchmark leather renovation after speaking to a friend who had used them.

This treatment cost me just over £300 which I thought was very fair.

I had mine done in my 3.2 same interior as yours. I would'nt wear jeans in your car as you will soon see the seats discolour again. I'm not saying drive around in your boxers, but just be careful what you put on the seats. Ask me how i know!;)

They did mine Ed. Both the guys are ex Connelly leather ( is that the right spelling)? They are on the same estate as John and Danny at Unit Eleven Porsche. I carried my seats round the corner like those African women carry the house around on their heads.thumbup
I looked a pillock driving home sat on a 5 gallon oil drum with a cushion on it after my 3.2 was serviced though!whistle

Nice story.

How long ago did you have yours done and does it hold well (jeans apart)?

I had them done a couple of years ago. I think i made two mistakes, wearing jeans and not protecting the finish with something. Let me try to explain. When the seats are redone they clean all the dirt and leather food etc from the seats before refinishing with colour. I think i should have left them to dry for a week, then add some hide food to create a protective barrier. The fact that they are linen in colour makes them show even the smallest dirty mark. I could see like a blue tinge on the swab from my jeans after a few drives out. My seats were done in my 930, but they are burgundy and much more user friendly. The passenger seat was left in the matt finished but I treated the drivers seat with some quality hide food. That worked a whole lot better and the drivers seat is lovely so i will now tackle the passenger seat in the same way. Think of it like this, when you go out in your white disco pants and white shoes, no matter how hard you try to keep them clean they always show the dirt. Thats linen leather i'm affraid! wink

Thanks for the explanation. I am asking more as a general reference, also for the future, to know if this is a good solution for tired seats (also on my BMW with light coloured seats).

I love the light leather interiors but they are more difficult to keep so nice and pristine!

The whole car looks fantastic inside now. I'd definately recommend Mark Slade from Benchmark Leather if you want to rejuvinate the inside of your car.

yes

Leathercare Renovation. They did my Mk1 996 GT3 bucket seats which had seen 50+K miles of use and some bad harness scuff marks too :

The end result looked factory fresh, all the above marks disappeared and the finished seats looked like they'd just rolled out of the showroom with a perfect matt finish all over. Very, very impressed. Without me asking them, they also did the door trims (behind the inner handles where they tend to get scratched) at no charge. Top blokes.

Highly recommended.
