Hi, How much more are Carrera s II wheels to have in Black colour as compared to standard please? Thx.

I'm thinking about getting my wheels refurbished and painted on my 996 c4s. Has anybody on here refinished their 18" turbo rims in black. If so, could I see some pictures?

I am slightly worried about spoiling the original appearance of the car.

If you try to spec a new car on the porsche website you can find out exactly the additional cost. The last time I checked was when the 981 came out. I think it was £800-1000 extra just for the black paint.

had mine done 4 years ago at porsche reading in matt black with silver lip , visually from a distance they make the rims look smaller but close up they look better than standard

I am just about to have the wheels refurbed on my lotus, Its really worth shopping around as I am having them resprayed dark grey also.

I got many different quotes for some silly figures but in the end 175 gbp for refurb (all four)including respray, i am paying 70 extra for the respray to also include the inside so 245gbp all up!

they are the original 15' Oz ones but it wasnt a huge amount more for bigger wheels.

They are being done Friday so I will let you know how they look.

the only down side is the guy isnt mobile as he does 'proper jobs' but he is only a short drive from me. Refurb takes two days.

Unfortunately not, I had some spurious activity on my image hosting account so I closed it down, deleting all images and voiding all previously posted links. A bit of an arse as I'd posted a few diy bits & bobs over the years which are now minus the pics. I still have all the images somewhere it's just a case of getting round to uploading them all.

Are they white on the edge or is it just the light? I'm toying with the idea of some 'Porsche' stickers along the bottom of the doors.

No, they are the original silver color - its just the light

Might be easier to see here...
