While the boys at EMC have ha my car in the air to do the cam cover leak they noticed that some of my ht leads have got cracks in them and one is pretty much exposing the core.

So is there a preferred aftermarket set that people are using or is it juts OE!?

I need to check my service schedule, but I think my plugs may be due as week so again... Who's running what?

I think Beru is the OEM.

You might want to check out this alternative supply in the Fatherland; think it might be cheaper than UK...

It's a common job now on 993s. I had mine done, which is apparently a pig of a job on a varioram car. The leads were getting on for £300 too (Beru I think) and I'm told when you see them they're lovely looking and the cost doesn't seem so bad.

What has happened to me? £500 quid to change a set of leads now sounds reasonable - I remember doing it on my first car myself and they were under a tenner! rolleyes

www.eurocarparts.com £264 inc VAT, but if you put MARCH25 in as a promo code you'll get 25% off. I paid a lot more frown

It's not that bad a job. Just takes time and patience.

I would strongly recommend you buy a long flexible shaft screwdriver and bit holder, as well as a bit holder ratchet. These tools were well worth the investment when I did this job on mine.

Anything else worth stocking up on for a 993 while the sale is on?
