Do had the C2s into reading couple of weeks ago for a major service and new discs and pads.

Had the local car cleaning lads over this AM and they found the thing below stuck on the inside surface of the rear offside alloy.

When I say stuck , sort of lodged.

Have driven the car several times since new brakes and all OK and am surprised this thing hasn't fallen off.

Part number is 99635208602 which I can't find.

Any ideas?

Could just be something that got dropped during the service, I would imagine it is from a 996 going by the part number.

Cool! Thanks Slippy. Problem or ignore?

Ignore, as I suspect it's an old one that's been discarded (note the central fastening clip has been ripped from the centre of the shim, thus rendering it unuseable)
