New GT3 RS, Need a specialist in the South West

I've just bought my first Porsche GT3 RS

First track day is next weekend at Bedford so thought I'd do a bit of planning for that post track day oil change and future servicing, can anyone recommend a decent Porsche specialist in the South West / South Wales / Gloucestershire area?

Congrats! Which one did you get?

Sorry can't help on specialist.
But before any trackday I usually get brand new oil, brake fluids and get a suspension/tyre check.

Bedford: I run my 7.1RS there 2/3 times a year. Lots of runoff, lots of fun. Great track to learn your car and experiment new technics.

I have never had any problems there, and a few of us here regularly go to Bedford.
But indeed it is true a few people here were booted as they failed static noise test.

Beware however of "static" noise level - it is low.
Trick: do not give them full beans - save 500-750 rpm and you'll be fine.

On track you should be able to spot the microphones, or ask them to point it to you. The guys there are fairplay, they won't mind.
Make sure you lift off a little and do not heel/toe in front of them.

Did a few laps at SPA with my friend in his GT3RS the other week! Obviously so much better on track than my 997 turbo.

How bad is the GT3RS really on the street? I hear the gen2 is huge improvement to the gen1? Improvement worth 30k?

but which RS did OP get?

In case of 7.1RS - mine is used almost daily in Central London: only downfall are speedbumps which need to be taken sideways.

Cannot comment on 7.2RS as I have never driven one - but i suppose that the front lift must be quite useful.

I used to have a 997tt and now have a GT3 RS 4.0. Admittedly i don't use the car to commute as i did with my tt but i find the GT3 much better on the road than people had led me to believe. I haven't used the front lift as yet so even the front spoiler is not too low.

It's a 997.1 It doesn't have the normal colour coding but that just means I can lairy it up as I like

Thanks for all the recommended specialists and thanks 911Thrasher for the tips on Bedford noise, have tested the car @ 5500 and it comes out at 99db, the neighbours love me
