Its a bit over have to say, there is a lot of talking up values at the moment though as far as 993's are concerned

You wont find a sub 50k mileage car for close to £30 but at the same time I wouldn`t expect to pay £40k for one either.
Perhaps £5k too expensive, although who knows. You can never tell from just the adds.

AS nice as the interior is, If I could spec one i`d take the interior off the Black C4s at Paul Stevens and put that inside an Artic exterior.

finding a really nice 993 c2s manual with sub 50k miles and decent colour combo is like finding a needle in a haystack. If I did not have mine (which has 80k!), I'd be like a b!tch in heat all over this one trying to squeeze out a couple of grand and do a deal. Not sure about the carbon bits either / 996 steering wheels and the 'funky' speakers or the 996 stereo sticking out of the dashboard. These are all tiny cosmetic things that can be sorted out in 5 minutes. Otherwise, looks like an extremely clean car. Price is slightly high but not vastly off the mark imho. C2S and C4S are not comparable imho. Former is much more desireable despite the larger production numbers.

And what would your top bid be on this Erics, taking into account the little things you don't like.

I never got the love for narrow bodied 993's (particularly on 17's), but the widebodied ones are really something... that one looks particularly stunning.

Not sure I'd value one above a 996GT3 though

Thats a very nice motor (Usual caveats etc) and a desirable colour scheme.

Worth 40k? I dunno, but I bet it sells for near that.....

Mate of mine has a 4S with 26k on the clock. Bought her 10 years ago. Reading this thread he's going to be happy. 10 years of depreciation proof driving, if only the banks were the same...

Probo 37k +/- depending on how much i would fall in love with it when i saw it.

However,

A/ i have one.

B/ it is a highly emotional/personal purchase.

I had a gt3 and i can easily see how it could be worth more.

993 c2s has all the kudos of old school 911s.
It is a superb road car. Much nicer to drive than the rarer 993 c4s.
It looks absolutely gorgeous.
It is very uncommon these days to find a good car in manual.

996 gt3 are nice cars, don't get me wrong.
The power delivery can be frustrating on the road as you have to rev it quite high to enjoy it.
The ride is ok on european roads, not on uk ones.
They are not very well built apart from the drive train.

I mean look at porsche 356 values. They are slow cars but people love them.
I think the 993 c2s will be the girst one to go in the same direction.

Worth as much as a 996 GT3??!! Not a chance.

Then again I really don't get the whole 993 nonsense.
