£15k of extras - I didn't pay much more than that for my 911.

Went in originally in feb to buy the new 911 carreras S but saw a picture and then took old 3.4 S out for an evening. I was completely blown away with how much fun I had in it. And as I only want one for an occasional Sunday Toy for me and the wife - I thought what the heck. I absolutely love the new 911 but it was much more of an experience and should I say special event to drive the Boxster.

I am of an open mind as to say the new boxster should not be compared to the 911 as it is what it is a completely fun drive. 911's will always seem to have the status symbol or masculine label attached to them but in my eyes anyone who as ever driven both will always say the boxster is as much of a sports car as the rest of them.

I went for a good spec because you will never be happy if you scrimp and wonder what if.

+1 Lumpy Stew - this is the first 981 spec I have seen with all the right options included. I would have done PCCB too, though this says it all about you...

630 Light design package £ 202.00

...Only geniuses choose this option!

PSE sounds awesome too:

Lumpy. nice 1.

Almost perfect - I would also add the auto-dimming mirrors and seat ventilation.

Please post pics on arrival.

Fantastic Spec, it's what i'd have chosen also, given the chance.

However i'd hope you will hang onto this car long term, as i'd imagine the Depreciation being huge within the first few years? Or maybe that don't worry you, as your minted with cash.lol.

I am intrigued rigster as to why the spec is the best you have seen? In a good way of course.

I wanted a more masculine looking car with just fine details on - Sorry still can't get away from thinking what other people will think as I said I originally went in for a 911.

Not sure what depreciation would be - any guesses say 2 years old 20000 on clock max - more like 5000 depending on time for road trips . Of course it will be in mint condition.

And no not loaded with cash but worked solidly for past 3 years and thought I need a bit of pat on the back.

Rude dog - Say what you see is my motto - the world would be in a far better place if everyone adopted it - Either better place or probably world war iii is more like it

Nice one, looks a great spec.

I see you've gone for the normal black Cab roof option, what do Porsche charge for a different hood colour option then?

Great spec, reading the 991 and 981 reviews I would be putting my money on a 981 (if I had that money of course ;-) )

I've had a current 3.4S boxster a fair bit recently as a courtesy car whilst my 997.1 C2S was being serviced and then in for some warranty work. LOVED the boxster - it is great fun.

The upshot is I'm now driving my own car in a more 'fun' way wink

Having finally spent time in one, I'd never knock a boxster. They're brilliant cars. And the new one looks stunning.
