Noticed this online...anyone shed any light on what the blip could be?

Its On vcar
Its green
It's done 109k
It's got savannah leather
It's wearing some 997/ 987 oversized alloys
It's a very early 996
And the gearbox is iffy

Therefore it's seriously cheap

Why don't they get the slight blip fixed? Sounds like it could be an expensive blip.

Yeah that's exactly what I was thinking!!! They seem to have some exotic cars in at the moment - they should have access to a mechanic.

Didn't the 996 have a thing for jumping out of 2nd gear?

Is it necessarily the 'box? I am betting that what they mean by a 'blip' is a misfire.

Cam solenoid failure is evidenced by a misfire and also a lumpy idle. The solenoids aren't expensive but the labour is..and there's the risk the rads might not like being removed...the job's into 3 figures before you know it and if you don't fix them, the fuel mixture will not be correct risking engine failure....add that to the other undesirable facts and the car isn't so cheap after all..

Yes, I was think that considering the unappealing colour, the kiss-of-death interior colour and the recorded status, itd be dear even if it didnt have a gearbox problem.

Its probably worth what theyve got in it, which is probably about £5,500.

I went and looked at a S55AMG there a month or so ago, and everything there was straight out of auction, no prep done to anything and very over priced. Lots of issues and no willingness to do anything at all.

I wouldn`t have a taken anything they had for free!

Surely, that 996 is hovering around the threshold for breaking.
