The while it's in the workshop thread

So I had a bit of a leak on the 993 so it was off to EMC to be fixed. Turns out that the cam covers had been over tightened and cracked them, they then perpetuated into a bit of a leak, and one of the nuts sheered so the engine had to come out- ****!!

no drama, engines out and they've found a few other bits that needed attending to so I said yeah no problems, I then did the "while the engines out".. I might as well move up the plan for upgrades...

So when the car comes back I'll have:

Aluminum Cam Covers
New plugs and leads
RS engine mounts
RS Flywheel and Clutch
KAAZ LSD
New bumper hangers
New heat shields
Empty wallet...


I did this once before when I asked for some track mods on my 944 and came home with a race spec 968!!!

Anyone else gone mad "while it's in the workshop"

Sounds familiar....I bought a brand new bare block for my 968 on ebay and it turned into a 968 turbo engine!
