you reckon? 70kmiles is quite low I would say...car is now 24 years old.

I would have thought a fair price...

this was much better value i think

was due to see it last week but ran out of time... it sold saturday. only possible downside in my opinion could be the 915 box, but given the miles and condition i think it would have been a good purchase.

Hmmm difficult to say, indeed less mileage but 915box. I believe G50 commend a slight premium.
Do you know if it sold at offer price, or did it actually go slightly under?

i appreciate the g50 is percevied (and almost definitely) better.. but a nicely set up 915 is still good to use.. i agree a g50 should have a small premium but i think the condition and low mileage of this example woudl be hard to beat. i dont know what it sold for but still kicking myself

Both 3.2's look good. However....as discussed on here last week usual checks needed re. kidney bowls/lurking rust in the front end wings/boot etc. For £20k+ I would "assume" without having seen either car they are rust free (although let's be honest this is unlikely after 24 years) or they have had said work already done? If so, circa 20k looks about the right money to me. Have you enquired, I couldn't see in either ad if any restoration/bodywork has recently been performed?

Agreed, very fair price if it all stacks up

They are both priced at the top end of the market, but then they both represent value in the longterm if they check out well.
I personally think the ratios are so much better in a 915 box that is worth paying to have it put right when it starts bulking, third gear on an 86 carrera is just the way forward (quite quickly) cool

Cheers.

Lovely looking car, I've seen it many times. Had no idea the mileage was that low.

Nope def not: love the color but wrong spec...964 gotta be RS wink

If this one doesn't work...my current 7.1RS might go for sale more aggressively to finally get back into aircooled RS 964 or 993 (or CStradale frown )

But I surely hope to have this one joining the current RS in the stable - would be a nice family along with the classic R107 SL300 we have.

Note: Queensgate is actually my neighbor and veronika & I have been admiring his car since we moved here in 2007 wishing to own it or the same spec since...always loved it.
Crossing fingers hoping it clears w/ Clive's review tomorrow (yup the Clive who provided all my other toys: porsches/ferrari/merc).
