gents, i've noticed the roof on my TT cab was sitting proud of the guide rails on one side.

I spoke to porsche and they (as usual) threw hands in the air, ooh its gonna cost you! etc etc etc..

Apparently there is a strap (elasticated i think) which keeps the sides taut as the roof goes back up, I can feel this loose inside so i'm assuming its worn away and snapped.

Has this happened to anyone else and if so is it solvable yourself or is it a hood off megajob?

typically its happened a month after my warranty has expired!

Mine snapped on my 996 some years ago and I stitched it back together.

Bit Heath Robinson, but it did the job!

From memory mine had snapped near the roof edge and I was able to peel the roof back far enough (with it open half way) to see the two parts and then work my bestest stitching skills smile

I think it's a black strap about an inch or so wide?
