Having gone from 964 (cat bypass) to 996T (Tubi), it's not a difficult choice. Air cooled all the way. 964 with cat and cup bypass would be my ideal combo.

Ah, Ben. Didn't realise it was you - excuse the sarcasm.

You must currently be in lurv with the sound of the GT3. I drove a GT2 the other day and thought it sounded fantastic. I would say that in general the standard watercooled variants sound a bit weedy compared to the air-cooled stuff, not counting the GT cars.

My 993 DROWNS standard 996 Turbos, C4S etc. They sound like hairdryers. I don't think the Sports Exhausts sound as good as everyone thinks on the water-cooled cars. I drove a Boxster recently and turned it off. A bit fake-sounding IMO. So, seriously, there's nothing to touch the air-cooled stuff.

And no App will help.

Droning is a big part of the equation when I'm choosing an exhaust, but I guess that occasional full throttle makes it worth it!

Water Cooled - 996 GT3 RS
overall - GT3 RS by miles
nothing sounds that good at the top of the rex band IMHO
