Opinions please ladies and gents.
996 Turbo, 2003, just had ruf road springs fitted (slightly firmer/lower than stock but no boneshaker). Considering getting wheel spacers front and rear (7mm front, 30mm rear). Good and bad points please.
Thanks
Jay

There's a kit available from design 911 with all the wheel bolts etc.
That what I was looking at.
Any pics of cars with spacers would be useful.

Hi Jay,
Have a look at this thread where I included photos of the 17mm rears which are recommended from Porsche as the correct fitment ~ I wouldn't go any larger. I went for the 5mm on the fronts, but haven't fitted them yet as it definitely needs them to balance the rears aesthetically.
Cheers,
Podro

I have 7's (with longer bolts) all round on my turbo. Not heard of anyone going as far as 30 before. Nor sure they'd work, and adds a lot of mass.

Thanks chaps, that's really helpful.
My mistake, the design911 kit is 7mm front and 15mm rears.
The pic of the Turbo S with GT3 wheels looks fantastic!
I'll order the kit and see how I get on with the lower suspension.

Unless you specifically need more clearance at the rear e.g. to run different intake piping like we do when we fit a y-pipe, the best spacer kit is the GT3 option upgrade kit which is 5mm all corners, comes supplied with all the longer bolts, locking nuts etc. Retails around £215+VAT but can be had for cheaper.

30mm Sounds way too wide to me, I'd like to see some before and after pics... hehe

...As you say, 5mm front, 15mm rear, should be fine

Techart spacers 18mm + 15mm do the job perfectly... wouldnt have thought 5mm is enough to make a visual difference or increase track, which is surely the reason to add spacers ?

Deleted my last reply, said I had 5mm spacers, sorry mine are 15mm all round.
