Health & Safety gone mad.
Never mind it will all be worth it once you get on track.

It's a difficult one, particularly with a mixed ability/experience group. Whilst it won't help you this time, you could always offer them some feedback to help those following in your footsteps.

I was at a hillclimb intro day a few weeks ago with some very lengthy briefs on rules, vehicle standards etc, and whilst it was lengthy and I'd done much of this before, I still learned a few new things and was reminded of a few others I'd forgotten, so not a total waste of time.

Enjoy anyway!

Hold on. If the rain makes things too tricky for you (why???), you may need the safety briefing to be even more extended and possibly a bit of tuition while you're at it wink

Does the briefing eat into the 3hrs - or is it briefing (however long) + 3 hrs?

Never underestimate the ability of a random group of people to contain some utter utter fkwits who will do something that grown up common sense should tell them is utterly stupid. They should not have the defence "but no-one told us not to".

Always remember, when you are sat in briefings. If you can’t spot the idiot then it’s probably you, so shut the FcensoredK up.
