997 GT3 - best value road tyres?

I've got about 1000 miles left in terms of tread and need to start thinking of a new set of tyres all around.
I'll be replacing the original tyres on the car, which (as I understand it) are modeveloped for the track and not the best in standing water.
Given that this car will see minimal track use (if at all, primarly for touring) I don't think I need the cup tyres. I'll be looking for a pure road tyre.
I'd be keen for some advice and interested to hear what the options out there are.
It's a 2007 997.1 car, running standard 19" inch GT3 wheels.
Guidance on price too please!

from what i understand you'll struggle to get the Michelin Cup Sports that your car wud have come with. Ive got Michelin Sports...good all rounders I'll be replacing the original tyres on the car, which (as I understand it) are modeveloped for the track and not the best in standing water.

The Super Sport seems to be universally loved by all (magazines, contributors here plus more).
I've not used them but they have much of the dry grip of a Cup tyre, but with good wet grip and high performance all round. They're pretty much the latest in tyre technology so should be better than the competition offer at present.
If you run a GT3, then you'll want a top-end tyre (although I can understand why you might not want a track-oriented tyre).
I'm sure you could find other good quality tyres; some possibly cheaper. However, it would seem a shame to have anything other than the best on any Porsche, let alone a GT3.

Just been advised that N rating not yet available on PSS - anyone know anything different?I suspect it could be late summer/early fall before they are available with N rating for a 997 GT3 sadly.
As my GT3 is in warranty, I will be replacing PS2's with PS2's for the N rating. And getting secondary track rims for Cup tyres in addition.

I have MPSuperSports on my 8 month old GTS. Superbly compliant and comfortable with stupendous grip when you get them to temperature. Very solid in the wet. Road noise on a par with the old PS2s and quieter than Pirelli, Bridgestones, Cups etc.
A definite step forward. Don't need to worry about N spec until car 2 years old. Have put original Bridgestones in the garage for warranty renewal/resale in due course as suggested above.

Still no N rating for the PSS btw. I checked with my local OPC today.
My car is currently on its OE P-Zeros which are pretty superb tbh (997 C2S). Anyone got expereince of the PS2 vs its rivals? Needs to be N rated only.
Considering going for a fresh set of Pirellis again (despite being a Michelin fanboy) unless anyone can convince me otherwise?
