Unfortunately it's only been 2 weeks of ownership and I've already managed to pick up a screw in the tyre. It's keeping the pressure in but Kwik-Fit tell me it can't be repaired due to where it is.

They're ordering the Pirellis in but sounds like a custom order which may take some time. Anyone else had this situation or any advice on where to go?

Keen to get some more miles on it (i'm still going through the run-in period).

I did exactly the same thing with the GTS - picked up a screw in the first few weeks. The OPC did me a good deal on a replacement. I would of had it repaired but was doing Vmax, so didn't want to chance it. But for road driving i would be tempted to find a garage that will repair it.

I had a similar situation on my e92 M3 where i got a nail in the 'corner' of the tire (where the sidewall meets the contact patch) and got it plugged. I drove on it for a week before deciding that it was probably risky and bought a replacement Michelin.

The 991S comes with 20 inch Pirelli P-Zeros, supposedly made specifically for the model.

Wasn't this the reason Clarkson gave it no stars in the Times review !

That sounds suspiciously cheap... you sure they got it right?

that doesn't seem that bad for 20" tyres ..

if it's for the rear tyres, I would say 'cheap' smile

Really? I'm clearly new to this Porsche game.

Just seems like a lot for a single (front) tyre.

OPC is coming back to me on their price. Sounds like it won't be any lower.

295/30 x 18 PS2's for my 996T will be around £300 soon, so that sounds a good price.

Should I be worried about Kwik Fit's service? OPC is 20% higher.

Thought it was illegal to repair a tyre at the corner?

Leeds OPC mentioned just over £300 for the fronts on a 991...
