997 Glovebox Damper

Inadvertently leant on newly arrived '55 997 Cab Glovebox whilst exploring! Anyone had any success in removing broken bits and replacing same? With replacement parts from where? Cost?

Well , the damping strut is 99855248401 at £11.45 inc vat , you will also need the
little retainer 99655287900 at £1.44 inc vat , so not the end of the world to fix.

I did the same in my Cayman and the OPC told me I would have to buy a new glovebax, got a local retired engineer to fabricate a new lug for me

Many thanks gentlemen for information - having retrieved broken items from behind glovebox with great difficulty, I can see no way of replacing with new one, short of disembodiment of dashboard! I think I will leave well alone and request better-half to be careful when opening glovebox! Again, many thanks
