That wasn't really my question was it! I've loved them for 20 years and intend to buy one for my 40th birthday, despite having two far more 'desirable', or should I say socially acceptable Porsches already. I think you either get them, or you don't.

There is one for sale in Ireland. I don't know anything about it except that it has been for sale a long time and you might get it for a much better price than is being asked. I also like them, especially if with a 6.

If you can't stretch to a /6 you need a 1973 2.0.

Buying from the states can save you a couple of grand, but it can also cost you dearly if you buy unseen and it turns out to be a pup. Good ones make good money over there just like they do here, if it's cheap it's probably for a reason.

I get them, a mate has a lovely 2.0 in yellow, only had a ride but it felt like a go-kart

You really should; those cars will always hold greater value and be more useable in modern traffic.
