Hello again!

I recently met a very nice gentleman in Tesco car park in Andover Hants on a Saturday afternoon. I was drooling over his 997.2 Carrera GTS PDK, and he returned to it. We ended up having a pleasant conversation, and he kindly said he would take me for a spin sometime, and I said he could drive my Clio 200. I gave him my number, but received no call.

Either, in the excitement of talking about Porsche, I gave the wrong number. If this is the case, please contact me on here and we can still meet up.

Or, you changed your mind. If this is the case, then please don't feel obliged to contact me, as I understand that not everybody wants to socialise with someone just because they have a mutual interest in cars.

Kind regards

Tony

Very Good! I just re-read it, and does sound a little "You can have a go in mine, if I can have a go in yours!"

Hee, hee!

He said he'd like to drive it, and I said he was most welcome. A Clio 200 on the right road is a very special place to be. To quote Chris Harris who currently owns a GT3 RS 4.0 and a Clio 200 "The Clio 200 is one of the great road cars, one of the best cars you can buy regardless of price, and a great drivers car at any price"

There's no question the Cliosport 200 would impress.

Renault Sport at Dieppe develop these cars for racing in the Clio Cup championships, then refine them for the road.

Fantastic little cars.

If you fancy a go in a top of the line Range Rover, I could find out where George Micheal parks up wink

Won't George get upset with you if I start seeing him too?

I think most of us know where he 'parks up'.

I am afraid that most of us do not know where he parks up. You have certainly just "outed" yourself as a stalker.

Right back at you with the woosh.

You were implying that we all knew that he was gay. Where as I was implying that you knew where he parks his car, thereby making you a stalker.

I think your'e wrong. And I am a puritanical RWD lover.

If someone converted a Clio Cup to RWD (It must have been done), it would no doubt be brilliant and great fun, assuming it had been done well.

But, there is something naughty and fun about FWD 'hot hatches' when they are done well. FWD corrupts steering, yes? Well, how is it then that a 1.6 205 GTI has the best steering that I have ever tried? And it just happened to be incredible fun to take by the scruff of the neck.

This argument has been done to death so many times, and there is no 'right' answer.

I will continue to enjoy rear wheel drive cars but remember this, the original Mini Cooper was FWD.

Are you sure you're on the right forum, this is PistonHeads, not PurpleHeads. All you seem to want to discuss is dogging, homosexuality and George Michael's choreography.biggrin

But some car for FWDs are amazing fun. The latest example is the Megane 265, that just flicks sideways constantly and has a natural lift-of oversteer tendency. But RWD may still make comeback also for cheap fun cars if cars like GT85 sell like bananas in filmset of planet of the apes 4.
