My GT3RS Gen 2 with a Duck !
Discussion
Removed just to see what it would look like, and before anyone chastises me I will be putting it back on and I will not be doing any highspeed runs in the meantime. This is the standard RS bootlid with only the wing and supports removed.

I think it looks good off.
I've said before, I think Porsche should offer two aero options on the GT3 range. Maybe the non-clubsport could come with more subtle aero.
I know this is an RS and not quite the same but I think if I owned one, I would have no decals and no upper portion of the wing. On the road, I can't imagine there is any tangible benefit unless you are well into big speeds.

There's one in the classifieds here with a ducktail spoiler:

Not such a bad idea at all!
Have a set of endplates made that cover the exposed mounting surface and protrudes maybe 10 mm above the side of the ducktail. Finished in black or silver, it will look quite factory and cool. It would work even better without the decal package (which suits the winged car, but is too much without). Just my opinion.
However, without wind tunnel and high speed testing, there is no way of knowing if the front/rear balance and the air mangement is any where near how it should be. Be careful.

'Good' !, it looks hugely better. Wing and mainly the struts look awful IMO. I would re-bolt the wing on for track days etc, but for general A Road driving...why ?I've said before, I think Porsche should offer two aero options on the GT3 range. I removed the rear wing on my 630bhp 996 GT2 for a while to do some high speed testing. I ran it at over 200mph on GPS several times. The car didn't crash and I'm still alive.
It did remove some rear grip at higher speeds and changes the balance slightly so it would be sub-optimal for lap-times, but it's still safe. Even if it removed 100kg of downforce by not having it it's not like the rear doesn't have enough weight to start with. No-one claims a 911 will crash because it has a full set of luggage and fuel vs the same car when empty, which can easily change the front weighting by 100kg.
Ruf sold many versions of their RGT which was based on the GT3 and that had a removable rear spoiler with a bigger ducktail. The idea was that it ran discretely on the road with only the ducktail and the wing was bolted on for max lap-times.

Exactly, but try telling the 'heel 'n' toe - track day sparco warrior' that.It did remove some rear grip at higher speeds and changes the balance slightly so it would be sub-optimal for lap-times, but it's still safe.
