Discussion
Adam RUF, Papa Adam RUF, Guy, and Henry....hope Sunday goes well for you.
Am going to watch myself, anyone else coming along to spectate? Am really looking forward to it, especially seeing the Skylines as have never seen any pumped up ones driven in anger before.
Best Regards
Martyn.

Thanks. We'll see you there!
It will be a great day.
There are some unbelievable cars there including:
2 Mitsi Evos with 800-930bhp
3 Supras in the 800bhp-1000bhp range
10 Skylines that average 630bhp, with the highest three in the 700-1100bhp range
120 other mad cars......
It is possible that several of the cars there will do 9 second quarter-miles (i.e. 0-150+mph in under 10 secs) and also beat 200mph in 1.25miles from a standing start. All cars are road-legal, on road tyres, with Tax and MOT........
Details of the day for anyone interested are here:
www.totb.co.uk
It is being recorded for DVD and Sky as per last year.

This sounds like a great event and its only just up the road.
Are there any details posted anywhere, times? ticket prices? etc?
Also, as I always ask (being a poor impoverished, tax dodging student!) does anyone have a spare seat heading over to Elvington?
I will definitely try and get over there!

What top speed did you get in the end?? I think you were up to about 188mph when I left, I was going to say hello but you were being interviewed for the telly at the time so I thought I'd leave you alone!!
That CTR is an awsome car by the way, I noticed that you were not being particulaly brutal with the lauch ( unlike some of the Scooby owners!! ) but the way it pick up speed one rolling had to be seen to be beleived. I see you had a camera in the car aswell, when will you be posting the footage?
Andy
P.S. hope you didn't do too much damage when you hit that cone in the R Turbo ( Nothing gets by me!! )

I got interviewd a lot, very nice lady
Yes the R turbo run i did was my first and only one on the handling circuit in that car,so i decided to really go for it, and basically nearly fu*%ed it up royally, luckily for you guys you will be able to see it as the guys with the cameras pounced on the car to get some in car footage just before i was to go out...and also my first run in the CTR round the track was with a bleeding camera filming me as well, but the R turbo was a bit of an animal and i very very nearly lost it hehehe
The CTR was great, the problem was you just have to do a soft launch, nothing more than 4k rpm otherwise boost will come on too strong and you just loose so much time, it was a really thin line between overcooking it and bogging the car. If a really great driver (Stefan Roser) had been driving it i think the CTR could have been a good 0.5-1 s quicker down the quarter,
all the best

Adam,
What was your 60 foot time on the best run?
I got a 1.91 second 60 foot on my 11.9 second run.
The 60 foot time tells how much grip/good launch the car had. The 4wd GTRs were getting 60 foot time in the 1.4-1.6 second range, which is why their quarter-miles are so quick.
I reckon with road-legal drag tyres the CTR would get high 10s and my R-GT2 would get low 11's.........
I'm not sure I'd want to put that much strain on the transmission though.
