OK - I know this is a very cheeky question, and I will probably get shot down for it... but if you don't ask......

On June the 9th I am best man for an old mate who is getting married just outside Winchester. I would have liked to have taken him to the church in the GTS, but logistics have thrown a total spanner in the works, so that is now no longer a possibility.

I was wondering whether any fellow enthusiast from the local Winchester area would allow me to borrow a Porsche to take him the 8 miles from Winchester to Wonston Church on June 9th from about 1-1:30PM? I am fully comp insured on any car up to £200K in value with Zurich Private Client and have owned 9 Porsches over the last 10 years, plus it would be a gentle drive - it is just to give him something to arrive in.

Feel free to PM me, or reply here. Or if anyone know a generous dealer in the area who would maybe consider a short term lend for a charity donation or something?

Jon,
I would be happy to help out in principle. I just need to confirm with the trouble and strife what my 2 daughters are up to that day(as i'm the weekend taxi)if you look at my profile, you can see my daily driver. Regards Chris

Chris, that is very good of you. Lovely car btw, I used to own something very similar myself smile

I appreciate that it can't interrupt the family movements, and I will obviously make sure I cover any of your costs and prove my fully comp insurance etc.

Let me know when you have a better idea of your weekend movements.

Jon,
As is always the way, sadly we are at a girls footie tournament that day for my 12 year old. Really sorry to let you down, i would have not had a problem at all with an experienced Porsche enthusiast drive my car!! Best of luck.
Regards Chris
