Bill stein HD's were awesome on my 993 but I honestly think it was the corner weight & geo set up that really made it. Ask on forums & you just end up going in circles, one mans meat & all that.....

Speak to a professional local to you who really knows their 911s & take it from there.

Depends on what you want and what you already have on the car.
M033=std on C4S or M030=optional

When we did mine (MO33) we went for 993RS control arms. Its hard to say how much difference these made as we changed everything, but turn in was much better with the new set up.

If only it were that easy. Most of them know nothing and will advise you to stick with the original Monroes.

Odd that you say front shocks. Usually it is the rears that go first.

Bilstein HDs used to be the default choice at one time.

Post up your location and hopefully someone can point you in th edirection of a specialist in your area that can set the car up for you as well.

really? perhaps you're talking to the wrong people. i can honestly recommend redline racing in the north east, mike bainbridge in cumbria & unit 11 in warrington. those are just the people i've dealt with in regards to suspension.

before we mention centre gravity i would also suggest mike at sports classic in knutsford as i'm aware he's invested quite a bit in the equipment & is very keen on the cars.

i'd certainly rather listen to any of the above than some bod on an internet forum who may or may not have the first idea about chassis dynamics & compromise, never mind performance driving

Quite agree. There are loads of people who know what they're on about, but loads who don't. Take an OPC for example....

Why are Koni FSDs so much cheaper abroad than here? Very interested in the Koni FSD Shocks with M033 Springs from Carnewal, and this isn't just because of the euro = £ at the moment.

If I've read it right, they lower the car (mines a standard height C2) but keep the comfort, and the dampers are supposed to be a big step forward compared to the expensive OE Monroes.

That's exactly what they do and with the M033's is the perfect set-up for road use.
No idea why they're cheaper abroad, just don't buy them over here - about a £200 difference! Gert offers a very good service.

Personally never heard good things about FSDs from friends whov've had them on their cars. I would call Chris at centre gravity and get some advice

And as good as Chris is at c&g, he is not the be all and end all, every lemming thinks he is.

Suspension, lovely topic, my fav.
-I have FSD on my BMW. My experience is that they bring welcome comfort, ie less crashy on bumps and a bit quieter. I think they are not as good as the Billies which preceded them in a track racing sense but for road use, lovely. I likened their effect though to sitting on a one inch foam pad, in that there is some new softer bump absorption but on really big bumps this bottoms out and the chassis moves into a harsher damping zone. Of course the 911 settings and suspension are all different but if the same Koni design logic applies.......
-Agreed! They know little and getting a 100% good job off them has proven impossible, so I DIY at great cost to my personal time. It's they only way to get the 911 working as it should and in my view if it doesnt work as it should you might as well be in a Mazda MX. Tuning the chassis on a 911 is extremely hard and I would doubt that many have got theirs into the zone where it actually works, save new ones in ex factory condition.
