The car may have done 13k but those seats have been swapped out of something with much higher miles!! My friend ha a GT3 with the same seats that has done nearly 60k and his are hardly worn at all!!

If its been parked with the sun on the seats all the time it may have dried the leather out or something?

Most likely not the original seats. They have dried out.

Camera flash is not flattering to black seats. In real life it won't look anywhere near as bad.

Seats are fked, rest of interior fine...even the black leather on the sides. The seats have been swapped. Maybe it started out with comfort spec and someone swapped in race seats.

Even for a 996 interior that looks poor.

That interior shot put me off even going to look at the car.

They look like pretty neglected leather seats, an example as to why you need to care for your leather seats.

I don't profess to know much about Porsches yet, but wasn't there an option for "ruffled" leather?

Looks very ruffled to me

And the passenger? Lol
Regarding ruffled - not applicable to buckets.

Could they be brought back to life with some TLC or are they done for?

They could be improved certainly, leather when left dirty dries up and cracks (as per the picture), a similar thing happens to your hands when they dry and dirty, cracks appear.

A good clean with dedicated leather cleaner would help but they may never look like they were when new.
