Porsche Centre likely to offer a discount?
Discussion
I concur - highly unlikely. Last Sunday I was told delivery for a diesel would be October earliest. On the bright side residuals should be quite healthy for the next year on good condition used ones (if you decide to go that way). This will probably change though when the Macan appears in Oct 2013.
I wasn't expecting much if at all, but if others have managed a discount then I might try harder.
I suspect even a discount via finance would be tough - the website suggests 25% is the maximum deposit too.
Interestingly Drivethedeal suggests a discount of £221, which is better than nothing.
I was also offered an October build.

I'm seriously considering a new Cayenne Diesel.
How likely it is that an Official Porsche Centre will offer a discount?
Ordered my Cayenne D last October and they wouldn't even throw in the mats, citing it was an 'invoicable item'. All I managed to skank was a touch-up stick and an extra set of locking wheel nuts to help protect the Turbo alloys from the hoody brigade. They also gave me 20% discount on the rear bike carrier but that was it.How likely it is that an Official Porsche Centre will offer a discount?
Porsche salesman are trained from birth to recognize when somebody really likes a vehicle and then to systematically drain every last penny from them without mercy. A bit like all car salesmen, but without hiding it.
Good luck.
We got nothing off the Cayenne Diesel we have ordered for end oct delivery, but we managed to fix a decent (in context of OPC deals) future part exchange figure on the RR. I got a fair chunk off the GTS new, but that was because the 991 was out so they were keen as mustard to move them.
