Ignition fault...

II have had a small issue with my ignition over the past couple of days and am looking for some advice....

When I turn the engine off, my key does not turn all the way to the left and fully disengage the ignition sequence. If I turn the key all the way it wants to spring back.

I can take the key out, but I can not use the remote central locking as it does not work. I have to lock the car using the key in the door.

I know this description is awful, but I'm hoping somebody had had a similar problem and will recognise what I'm talking about!

Your ignition switch has failed - can be replaced with the same part from VW for about £20 or get a modified / improved version from Porsche for £100 (comes complete with ignition barrell housing and steering lock).
