There's a few posts on the blog-site covering test and race reports. I can't post a link because some grumpy bugger reported this to PH once and they removed the thread.

However, if you look at any of the bumper corners on the car you'l know where to look:

Here's a link to the in-car video from Race One:

Where did you qualify, and what cars were in which classes ?, especially the 968's

What tyres where you on ?,

Where's your heel and toe ?

I guess you haven't read the reports then?
9th for the first race, 8th for the second (based on 2nd best qualifier) - not great but first time in a new car that wasn't set-up for the wet and didn't have "wet" tyres.

968's run in class 1 as usual (same as my Boxster S) but now also in class 2 at a lighter weight - makes he hard to know who you're really racing.

Control tyre - Pilot Sport Cups, with the option of a "wet" version with extra tread grooves cut in.

Heel & toe every down change (been doing it over 20 years now wink ) although not so many down changes in the conditions (didn't always grab 4th before Knickerbrook, nor before Druids).

No, never read the reports, I can't read long words wink

Tyres explains a lot, especially under braking, as would have thought the car would have been a lot better.

There is a 'little' bit of heel and toe, but seemed like you wanted to arrive at some of the corners in a gear higher than looked normal.

I just always liked to use as much engine braking as possible in the wet.

Yes but, not his fault...surely...not with 20 years experience....

Hmm, you've got me thinking now. I was aware that all 3 shift lights were coming on (due to causing the engine to rev pretty high) as I changed down for Shell, but maybe that's the exception and I need to try changing a bit earlier for other corners. The brakes are actually very good (compared to other models in the class), although less so towards the end of the dry race (possibly just a brake cooling issue), consequently I tended to brake earlier (to make sure I could get it slowed down in time!) which sometimes resulted in a slower entry than was possible.

The second race, which was in the dry, is being uploaded now so should be live in 130 minutes according to Youtube.

Deffo a gear too high for knickerbrook and old Hall, and would have thought that's pushing the car on in entry a bit too.

Anyway, I'll butt out, as I'm in danger of sounding like I know what I'm talking about !!!

Second was definitely too low for Knickerbrook in the dry and I'm not sure it would have worked in the wet (can't remember if I tried, apart from when there were other cars around and it was very tight and hence a bit slower) and Old Hall was always 3rd. We have to run standard ratios and the biggest gap in the whole box is between 2nd and 3rd.

Marcus I had just assumed you used the longer gear in those corners due to the very slippy conditions i.e. to reduce torque at the wheels.

Video of the second race now live click here to see it

This was in the dry, should pull about 1.5G peak (haven't looked).

In the wet race I left it in a lower gear at times (i.e. 3rd all the way down The Avenue, over Hill Top, same at Clay Hill) due to being a bit slower out of the previous bend, and occasionally used 2nd at Knickerbrook entry and Lodge, again due to going slower, otherwise gears were the same as for the dry.
