Has anyone noticed how 911 mileages stay the same?
Discussion
Ive been reading car classifieds for 30 years now and it always amazes me how 911 mileages remain the same.
It probably applies to other cars aswell but I havent spent thousands of hours looking at those like i have 911's over the years.
Look at 997 cars currently advertised and you will see what i mean, in fact it appears they are getting lower.
Check out some European classifieds and you will see cars for sale with 90k, 140k, 190k, 220k etc
not in the UK!
42,000 miles with full history. (2 porsche stamps then some indies) 5 owners. P....leaze.

I think he is saying, Porsche drivers in the UK are spending more time washing their cars than driving them.
And is probably not wrong.
I did 13k miles in 8 months in my GT3 and only stopped due to dumb markets assumptions and their effect on values, whereby people assume that 'cos its not a dumb softly sprung barge, that it has spent all of its miles hacking round brands hatch.
In reality, my car spent more time on European motorways than on track. Still, the next one I buy will be a lifer so f
k the market value and the worriers.look on the bright side if you can find a high miler it opens up porsche ownership to the less well healed ,,like me,,I think it says more about porsche buyers and how anally retentive they can be about condition history etc etc which makes sellers feel that unless there car has the RIGHT milage they wont be able to sell it on, These cars are made to last why try to hide the true milage. id rather buy an honest car...
