Indies in Kent area

Hi all, my Cayman S will be due for its 4 year major in August, what indies in the Kent area do people recommend? I am based 10 minutes from Bluewater. Thanks

I used project nine near Marden for my 993 and have been very impressed. I have to confess I used Tonbridge OPC for the 997 though as I had it under warranty. I thought they were pretty good too - somewhat flexible on their pricing, PCGC discount on stuff and nice loan cars.

Project 9 get a vote, a few of my group use OPC Tonbridge including me (on the Box anyway). As TIPEC we get a discounted rate on labour & bits. La Rose in Kemsing get variable feedback, as does Brooklands Kent in Swanley.

Brooklands at Swanley gets a big thumbs up from me - v v good on all things Porsche (and Ferrari) - Barry properly knows his stuff. Access to a superb bodyshop too

The bodyshop is Sin across the way. He's done various work for me, good job at sensible money he is highly recommended.

Just been reading another post about Parr, does nobody use or recommend them for servicing as nobody mentioned them?

No issue with Parr but understand their pricing & general work tends to be on the exotic end of the range. If I had a GT3/2 or late Turbo to service then they would be my choice.

If you are willing to go as far as Parr, then you could take it to 9 excellence in horley, they are very good!

To be honest the most important part is that they do a good job so don't mind travelling a little, if they offer a loan vehicle even better. Project nine are not 5 mins away either.

I've used Project 9 and was very happy with the work but come the next service found he wasn't much cheaper than an OPC. Did a ring around and found RGA in Vauxhall were excellent value and highly recommended, bit of a trek but if you work in town as I do it works out as not much different the other, more obvious alternatives.

I always ended up taking Mrs. Kirk's old Boxster to Tonbridge and with a bit of negotiation got the old girl serviced for pretty much the same as I was being quoted at the local indi. OPC stamp in the book and no anal battering in the process

Mark Perstige performance in Northfleet very good knows his stuff has looked after 54 card for me

Having read the above replies I thought I would ask Tonbridge for a quote, four year major on my Cayman S, £1100 for service, brake fluid, spark plugs, airbag service, drive belt check, tyre sealant change and they will give 10% PCGB discount, anyone know how this compares to an indie as it sounds steep?

For what its worth on a 968 Belt service project nine were a bit cheaper than La rose.

I know the guys at Tonbridge OPC.

However if you are 5 mins from project 9 then that has to be your best option and I have only read good things about them on here.
